This research thrust of the (SI)³ research lab focuses on leveraging innovation and cutting-edge technologies to enable proactive and real-time safety and health monitoring in high-risk work environments, including construction and related industries.

By integrating data-driven methods, sensing technologies, artificial intelligence, digital modeling, and intelligent systems, the thrust seeks to transform traditional, reactive safety practices into predictive and preventive approaches, with the goal of reducing occupational injuries, illnesses, and fatalities while strengthening overall safety culture and operational resilience.
